Nutty Seedy Granola

Happy Saturday!

I thought while we are still in January (just about!) with a healthy mind-set it would be a good time to share a tasty granola recipe! It’s so easy to make and will keep for about 2 weeks or so if stored in an airtight container.

150g porridge oats (I use Flahavan’s)

100g pinhead oatmeal

50g desiccated coconut

50g roughly chopped nuts (I used a mix of pecans and walnuts)

150g seeds (I used 100g sunflower and 50g pumpkin seeds)

3 tbsps Chia seeds (optional)

50g honey

40g sunflower oil

30g dark brown sugar

Preheat oven to 160°C (fan oven, increase to about 180°C for a conventional oven)

Pop the brown sugar, honey and oil in a pan and heat gently until melted. Take off the heat and leave to cool for a moment. Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix together.

Add the honey liquid and mix until well combined. Prepare a baking sheet with some baking paper and evenly spread the mixture across the sheet. Pop into the oven for 15-20 minutes or so, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is golden brown. Pop the cooled granola into an air tight container to store.

My favourite way to serve the granola is in a cute little glass pot, topped with grated apple and natural yogurt. Mmm good!

Let me know if you try it out, I would love to see some pictures, use the #bakemystyle hashtag. Don’t forget to stay up to date with Bake My Style on Instagram!

Have a great weekend!
