Ballymaloe Cookery School – The Dream!

A year ago this week I signed on the dotted line, it was official, I was taking redundancy from my job to allow me to pursue something that I had been daydreaming about for years – the 12 week certificate course at Ballymaloe Cookery School! I was lucky that my redundancy package would cover most of the costs but there was still something holding me back – fear! What would I do afterwards, when is the best time to do it, what about my life in london, what about David? For a nearly a year I came up with excuse after excuse as to why the timing wasn’t right! Thankfully a recent set of circumstances gave me the kick up the backside that I needed and I took the plunge – every cloud definitely has a silver lining! The timing still isn’t perfect, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it never will be and to just go for it anyway! In two weeks time I will arrive at Ballymaloe as keen as a jellybean! I hope to document my adventure in someway, whether here on the blog or on my Snapchat and Instagram accounts so keep an eye out. A few weeks ago I put a video on Youtube talking about the reasons behind the decision as I find it easier to talk than write about it so take a look! I also talk about my vision board which I believe had a big role to play in all of this happening!

If you are interested in learning more about vision boards check out this article in the Huffington Post.

Until next time,

M x

Good Luck hun! We all need a Dream to aim for and I am sure you will achieve so much! I like how you took something positive out of your role at Tesco even though you said you hated it!

Thanks so much Lisa! You have to find the silver lining in every cloud, so although buying certainly wasn’t for me I wouldn’t be at this point now without having had that experience!!
